So this weekend is my birthday and just my luck there’s a tropical storm on the way. Luckily, it probably won’t reach us until sometime next week. So the birthday celebrations will continue as planed. I’ve decided, like most people who’s birthday falls on the weekend, to have a 3 day celebration. There’s happy hour on Friday, Garden Groove at Loterie Farm on Saturday and hanging out on the beach on Sunday.
I’ve eaten at Green House a few times, usually during their happy hour. I mean, 2 for 1 drinks and specials on the appetizers! Put that together with great company and you don’t need much more. My favorite part about eating at Green House would be their Johnny Cakes (local dish) that they serve instead of bread. Most “fancy” places that make it don’t usually do it right but at Green House it’s perfect.
This year was the first time that I visited Loterie Farm in my entire life. You don’t have to tell me, I know it’s sad. But it’s a really nice place. The first time was to watch some friends zip line. Yes watch, because I have this thing about heights, kinda. The other time was for their Garden Groove party featuring Orange Grove, international band whose members are from St Maarten. It was such a fun night I decided why not go again for my birthday.
Then on Sunday it’s beach day! Why? Because I’m surrounded by water and need to appreciate that. Though, I will admit I need to explore more beaches. My go to beach is Mullet Bay. But I’ll be exploring more. I can’t have you guys not seeing the awesomeness that St. Maarten has to offer.
So those are my weekend plans. Hopefully mother nature decides to play nice. I’ll definitely take some pictures and see about videos for you guys. Those’ll be in part 2. Have a good one guys!
