GCY: What is your line of work?
DD: I’m a multi-platform DJ, meaning that I’m proficient in various genres, anything from a Capellas to Zouk. My specialties are live remixes and on-the-spot edits. I’m also a music producer. Making beats in various genres, such as: Hip Hop, R&B, Soca, Reggaeton, Dembow, Zouk, and Dancehall.
GCY: What made you choose this line of work?
DD: For DJing, the ability to modify any song on-the-go (freestyling if you will) is very intriguing. Being the life of the party, having the power to control the crowd, and getting a reaction out of them is thrilling. And for producing, I’ve always had a passion for music. Especially the process of taking a single idea, and molding it from scratch into the final product. Being naturally curious, and detailed oriented only made it easier and fun.
GCY: How long have you been doing this?
DD: A bit over 3 years.
GCY: What inspires you to continue this work?
DD: New music and technology, a strong will to learn, and seeing my clients satisfied.
GCY: What are some recent projects you’re working on?
DD: You’ll have to stay tuned for that.
GCY: Where do you see yourself in the next five years?
DD: Having an established brand, travelling to DJ and produce for an ever growing list of clients.
GCY: Why do you think someone should choose your company versus the competition?
DD: I’m often punctual and disciplined. I aim to please at all times, and most of all, I’m humble.
GCY: What words of inspiration do you have for someone trying to establish themselves?
DD: Stay humble, driven, make no excuses, and practice. You’re never too busy to practice.
GCY: What’s your life motto?
DD: Your happiness is top priority. Don’t do it if you don’t love it.
GCY: How would you like your work to be remembered?
DD: Different, innovative, and inspirational.
